• Plastic guide insert to protect the brake rod end thread
• Designed for brake rods with M10 thread
• Prevents thread grinding at the point of pulling the rod through the cable holder on the axle -Reduces friction and makes it easier for the rod to slide through the cable holder
• Mounted simply by screwing onto the brake rod thread and securing with M10 counter nut (M10 counter nut not included - can be ordered separately)
• In the unbraked condition, the mounted insert should protrude approximately 30 to 50 mm in front of the cable holder. This leaves 100 to 120 mm for the brake rod step behind the cable holder. This is also sufficient to override the activated reverse automatic with the handbrake. Normally, the maximum brake rod pitch is around 50 mm.
