Standard safety cable 1055 mm long with fork for overrun brakes KNOTT for V-axles (KF 7.5 to KFG 35).

The cable fork is attached to the hole in the handbrake lever using a pin and then secured with a cotter pin. Older overrun brakes KNOTT can be fitted with a safety cable that has a ring (similar to a key ring) instead of a fork with a pin.
When the vehicle is moving, the carabiner of the safety line should be hooked in the eye provided on the hitch or in the immediate vicinity of the towing vehicle hitch. In the event of an accident, when the trailer is disconnected from the towing vehicle, the cable acts as an emergency brake - it pulls the handbrake lever, thus braking the trailer and subsequently breaking the cable or opening the carabiner.
WARNING: The lanyard is not intended for securing or towing unbraked trailers. It is only designed for the force that will apply the handbrake of the overrun brake KNOTT and then break to prevent an uncontrollable trailer from remaining connected to the car.
