• Steel safety cable for additional securing of an unbraked trailer with a maximum permissible weight of 750 kg
• Helps limit consequential damage in the event of damage or failure of the main coupling.
• The carabiner is inserted into the eye located outside the hinge. This way, the protection works even if the ball of the towing bracket breaks off.
• Mounting on the trailer is done by threading the eye behind the bolt or spreader post in the front part of the drawbar, or by threading it behind the front support - see photos

• The obligation to allow the trailer to be connected to the towing vehicle by a secondary safety coupling is laid down in ECE/OSN Regulation No 55, Supplement 54, Revision 2, Appendix 3.
