The rückmatik tension spring is used to return the so-called thumb of the automatic reversing system of wheel units AL-KO 2051 (inner drum diameter 200 mm) and 2361 (inner drum diameter 230 mm). These wheel units use the same spring for both the right and left side of the axle. The hook on one side of the spring is inserted into the thumb hole of the automatic alignment system, the other straight end of the spring is inserted into the intersection in the brake shield.

The spring has a significant influence on the correct functioning of the reverse automatic and the entire braking system.

The total length of the spring is 52.5 mm (+/- 1 mm).
