- Example of use: overrun brakes brand KNOTT - the washer will straighten the curvature of the tow tube when installing the ball coupling
A saddle washer attached to a 50 mm diameter pipe creates a flat seating surface for the nut of the M14 bolt passing through.
It is located on the vertical (rear) bolt that attaches the tow ball coupling between the nut and the tow tube.
At higher loads, the forces are better distributed over larger contact areas.
