Compared to the standard design of the Safety box lock, the body of the lock in the XL design is equipped with a hinge in the upper part and a narrow recess in the lower part for the "neck" of the ball of the towing device. After opening, the lock can be placed from above on the towing coupling connected to the ball pin of the towing device. After clamping, the lock is secured by inserting the safety yoke and locked with a padlock. A disconnected trailer can also be locked with the lock. This type is very popular with users who often leave a parked trailer connected behind the car.

The package includes the lock's own opening body, a locking shackle and a disc stainless steel lock with two keys. The lock is not suitable for use on special stabilizer towing couplings.
