Axle shock absorbers for Gromex trailers are not included in the base price of the trailer. This is an additional equipment that we strongly recommend everyone to use. In the total value of an otherwise perfect trailer, this is not a huge price increase. However, you will be rewarded with even more perfect driving comfort and much greater stability when transporting cargo.

Octagonal shock absorbers AL - KO red OCTAGON are designed to optimally improve the properties of trailer movements. Thanks to them, you eliminate the dangerous bouncing of the trailer on the road, which is the bane of every driver. The use of shock absorbers means a quieter ride, safer braking, optimal contact with the road. AL-KO red shock absorbers are intended for single axle 1800 kg and for double axles 3500 kg

Easy installation: Articulated hinges and mounting, built-in rubber allow for an inclined deviation of the mounting position at an angle of 5°, without tension and without increased friction. Unlike conventional shock absorbers, AL-KO Octagon shock absorbers are equipped with screws permanently embedded in the shock absorber eye, and are thus part of the shock absorber's equipment together with the nuts.

Durability guarantee: overload protection protects the material against overvoltage. AL-KO only uses quality seals. The valve is made of chrome metal. The roughness of the piston is only 0.1 Ra. Dust protection between outer and inner tube. AL-KO only uses special oil.

• Octagon Plus is a special damper with an optimized damping curve for AL-KO axles.
• The color classification of the shock absorber determines the load-bearing range of the axles for which the shock absorber is intended (see below).
• Unlike conventional wide-range shock absorbers, AL-KO Octagon Plus shock absorbers are always optimized for a specific weight range. This prevents over-damping or under-damping.
• AL-KO Octagon shock absorbers take into account in their characteristics the own damping of the unique springing system of AL-KO hexagonal axles. Thanks to this, optimal damping occurs over the entire trailer load range.
• Only AL-KO Octagon shock absorbers ensure the best driving characteristics of the trailer in combination with AL-KO axles.
• The end of the shock absorber is fitted with a spherical silentblock, which allows the shock absorber head to swing by up to 5o in relation to the mounting screw. This ensures minimal stress on the damper bearing.
• Using high-quality materials and dust protection between the outer and inner tube ensures a long service life of the shock absorbers.
• The valve is made of chrome-plated steel, the surface roughness of the piston rod is only 0.1 Ra.
• Also available in other colors for other weight ranges.
• Supplied with two M12x65 screws and self-locking nuts for mounting.
• The blue shock absorber is intended for single-axle trailers with a total weight over 900 kg up to 1350 kg and for two-axle trailers with a total weight over 1600 kg up to 2700 kg.
