  The robust cast iron trailer coupling AL-KO AK 351 is a ball coupling designed for braked trailers with a maximum technically permissible weight of 3500 kg. It replaces the older AK 350 model. The package includes two spacers for installation on a tube with a diameter of 50 mm, as well as mounting hardware.

• The ball coupling is equipped with a correct coupling indicator and a coupling wear indicator.

Package contents:

• 2x spacers for mounting on a tube with a diameter of 50 mm
• 2x M12 hex-head bolts, including nuts 
• 1x auxiliary mounting pin for easy coupling replacement without removing the overrun brake shock absorber

  The coupling does not require adjustment throughout its service life. Its mechanism compensates for wear on the contact surfaces of both the coupling and the tow ball. If excessive wear occurs, the side wear indicator signals this condition by pointing to the minus sign (-). In this case, there is a risk of the trailer becoming detached from the towing vehicle, and the ball coupling must be replaced.

  If the indicator mark points to the plus sign (+), neither the ball coupling nor the tow ball is excessively worn, and the connection between the towing vehicle and the trailer is correct. The operating handle is equipped with a push-button safety lock to prevent accidental opening. 

  The ball coupling features a slot for installing an integrated lock. After removing the plastic cover, the lock can be easily fitted. The lock is not included in the package.

Note: Regular lubrication and cleaning will significantly extend the service life of the ball coupling.
