Axle shock absorbers for different types of trailers
Axle shock absorbers are used on a wide range of braked trailers – from general-purpose cargo trailers to flatbed trailers, tipper trailers, car transporters, box trailers and plant trailers. The correct shock absorber must always be selected according to the specific axle, its maximum load and the required mounting method.
How to choose the right trailer axle shock absorber
When choosing a shock absorber, check the axle manufacturer and type, maximum axle load, mounting position and mounting method. With KNOTT shock absorbers, it is important to distinguish between versions designed for installation in front of or behind the wheel. For AL-KO axles, the design of the suspension arm and the corresponding shock absorber bracket must also be checked.
For retrofitting, we also offer trailer axle shock absorber brackets in bolt-on, weld-on and universal versions. This makes it possible to add shock absorbers to many trailers that were not originally equipped with them.
For individual products, we provide original part numbers, load ranges, dimensions, compatibility information and installation details to help you select the correct shock absorber or mounting bracket for your trailer axle.
