Complete set of 4 genuine KNOTT 990082 shock absorbers for the PULLMAN / PULLMAN 2 independent wheel suspension used on Cheval Liberté and Debon trailers. The set is primarily intended for replacing all four shock absorbers on a typical twin-axle PULLMAN / PULLMAN 2 chassis at the same time.

Each PULLMAN wheel has its own hydraulic shock absorber, working with a coil spring and a separate suspension arm. In the PULLMAN system, the shock absorber is a structural part of the independent wheel suspension, not a universal additional axle shock absorber.

Complete set for a twin-axle PULLMAN chassis

A typical twin-axle PULLMAN / PULLMAN 2 chassis has four independently suspended wheels, each using one KNOTT 990082 shock absorber. The complete chassis therefore uses 4 shock absorbers.

The set of 4 is particularly suitable when servicing an older chassis whose shock absorbers are of a similar age and mileage. Replacing all four at the same time helps maintain even damping across all trailer wheels.

How does PULLMAN 2 suspension work?

The PULLMAN 2 system uses independent suspension for each wheel. Each wheel is guided by its own jointed arm and suspended by a combination of a coil spring and a hydraulic shock absorber.

A typical twin-axle configuration uses 4 separate arms, 4 coil springs and 4 shock absorbers. Each wheel can therefore respond independently to road bumps, helping reduce the transfer of impacts and vibration to the trailer structure.

Function of the KNOTT 990082 shock absorber
