 Galvanised steel AL-KO bearing dust cap for AL-KO 1637 and  AL-KO 2051 wheel brake assemblies.

Genuine AL-KO galvanised steel bearing dust cap for 1637 and 2051 wheel brake assemblies. The cap is tapped into the central opening of the brake drum.

AL-KO 1637 and 2051 brake drums can be distinguished from other types primarily by their single compact double-row ball bearing. The 1637 brake drum has an internal diameter of 160 mm, while the 2051 brake drum has an internal diameter of 200 mm. The 1637 wheel brake assemblies are fitted, for example, to AL-KO B 850-5 axles rated at 900 kg with compact bearings. AL-KO 2051 wheel brake assemblies are fitted, for example, to AL-KO B 850-10 (1000 kg), B 1200-5 (1300 kg), B 1200-6 (1350 kg) and B 1600-3 (1500 kg) axles, all equipped with compact bearings. The wheel brake assembly type is stamped near the edge of the brake backplate.

Do not fill the cap with grease before installation, as this is unnecessary. The bearings are factory-sealed and permanently lubricated with grease, so additional grease cannot enter the bearing.

The cap primarily protects the thread of the central axle stub. We recommend replacing the cap whenever it is damaged, does not fit securely in the brake drum, has been damaged during removal or shows signs of advanced corrosion. Driving without the hub dust cap can cause irreversible damage to the fine thread of the wheel assembly's axle stub.
