The Brian James Tipper 526-3116-27-2-12 is a compact, professional twin-axle tipping trailer with a gross weight of 2700 kg. With an overall width of just 1710 mm and a length of 4530 mm, the trailer is highly manoeuvrable even in confined spaces. This makes it ideal for work in towns and cities, narrow streets, courtyards, gardens, smaller construction sites, or anywhere where manoeuvring space is limited. With the side panels fitted, it provides a clear load bed of approximately 3100 × 1600 mm. Once the side panels and corner posts are removed, it converts into a flat platform measuring 3200 × 1690 mm.

The Tipper is an exceptionally versatile work trailer. It can transport bulk materials such as sand, gravel, soil and construction rubble, as well as palletised goods, building materials, machinery and a wide variety of general cargo.

Tipping is powered by a high-performance electrohydraulic system with its own 12V battery. This model uses the Single-Ram system – one hydraulic tipping cylinder, providing reliable operation of the tipping mechanism even under intensive professional use.

Click & Clamp – heavy-duty steel side panels

One of the characteristic features of the Brian James Tipper range is its exceptionally robust steel side panels, approximately 50 mm thick, designed for demanding everyday professional use. Compared with conventional lightweight aluminium side panels, they provide an extremely strong construction and excellent durability when transporting building materials, machinery and bulk loads. The distinctive coloured strip on the side panels is available in five finishes: yellow, red, blue, anthracite or black.

The Click & Clamp system uses self-adjusting locking posts combined with a side-panel clamping system. This increases the overall rigidity of the structure while reducing unwanted movement and rattling of the side panels during transport.

The side panels and posts can be completely removed, quickly converting the trailer into a flat platform measuring 3200 × 1690 mm. With the side panels installed, the clear usable load area is approximately 3100 × 1600 mm. This design significantly increases versatility when transporting pallets, building materials, machinery or oversized loads.

2-Way Tailgate

The standard tailgate features the 2-Way Tailgate system. The tailgate can be folded down conventionally for normal loading and unloading, or secured at the top using the mechanism in the rear posts and used as a swinging tailgate for convenient and controlled discharge of bulk materials.

As an option, the trailer can also be equipped with a split tailgate, which opens sideways in a similar way to container doors, making it easier to handle different types of cargo.

Professional construction and load bed

The Brian James Tipper is designed for demanding professional use. A highly robust reinforced main chassis and load bed come as standard. Heavy-duty integrated tie-down points in the floor and along the sides of the chassis allow transported loads, construction machinery and other equipment to be secured safely.

The electrohydraulic system battery features maintenance charging from the towing vehicle. The lockable front storage box protects the electrohydraulic unit, battery and associated equipment, including the charger and emergency power cables.

Transporting mini excavators and construction machinery

The Tipper can be equipped with heavy-duty Brian James steel loading ramps for transporting mini excavators, skid-steer loaders, garden machinery and other work equipment. The ramps are available in two lengths – 1800 mm and 2350 mm.

The shorter 1800 mm ramps provide an approach angle of approximately 24°, while the longer 2350 mm ramps reduce the approach angle to approximately 18°. The longer version is therefore particularly suitable for machines with lower ground clearance or a less favourable approach angle.

The maximum permitted weight of the vehicle being loaded depends on the length of the loading ramps and the vehicle wheelbase, or the contact length of the tracks. During loading, the ramps are securely attached to the trailer. After use, they can be stored and secured against unwanted movement in the integrated storage compartments underneath the load bed.

For safer loading of heavier machinery, the trailer can also be equipped with rear support legs. These stabilise the rear of the trailer while machinery is being loaded and help reduce excessive stress on the overrun brake and drawbar during loading.

Thanks to its combination of compact overall dimensions, high payload capacity and excellent manoeuvrability, together with its tipping body and removable side panels, the Brian James Tipper 3116 is an ideal professional work trailer, particularly where high transport capacity is required but space for access and manoeuvring is limited.
